Jabez James Rayner (1877-1920) was Henry and Mary's sixth child and fourth son. Born at Longham he married Patience Appleton on 22.12. 1900 when this photo was taken. He died in an accident while working as a platelayer on the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway near his home at Honing, between North Walsham and Stalham..

Patience Rayner nee Appleton (1880-1977) born at North Walsham and who, after her husband's death, went to Australia in 1922 with her three children, Lavinia May (1901-1999), Stanley James (1907-1958), and Leonard Harry (1911-2002). This photo was taken pre-1920.

"My Nan told me the family would come from Honing by train and travel by horse and cart from Hillington station to Flitcham. Working on the railway grandfather had a free pass. She was with Henry and Mary Anne in Flitcham on one occasion when Queen Mary and Queen Alexandra visited them to give them a "Best Kept Cottage" award."
