Edgar Rayner (below) was the fifth of Henry & Mary Anne's six sons. He and his wife Sophia, lived at 37 Church Lane, Flitcham until their deaths in 1959. They had three daughters, Joyce (born c1918 and living in a home in Shefford in 2007), Susan and Kathleen. Susan had a daughter Val (living in King's Lynn in 2007). Kathleen, who is pictured below and on a school photo (click here) had a son Nigel who is also pictured below and on a school photo (click here). Nigel lived in Wales and died November 2007. Nigel Rayner was Henry Rayner's great grandson and son of Edgar's daughter Kathleen. He worked for Bob Clements' bakery on Saturday mornings to earn money for his school uniform. The van is based on the Austin Devon and was driven by Geoff Smith, who took this photo in front of the school in 1953/54. Nigel died in November 2007.
