There are 2 images on this page from the 1950s provided by Colin Greenslade. His father Victor Greenslade (1908-58), was from Croydon in Surrey who married Cissie Bridges (1915-78) of Flitcham.
(Above) The above photograph was taken shortly before the cottages on the left were demolished in the early 1950s. The cottage on the left of the photo had the address 1 Abbey Road, despite being midway along Abbey Road. The 2 cottages in the background are now one property - Well Cottage, Abbey Road.
(Below) Cissie Bridges won the King's Prize in Divinity in 1928.
